Revolutionizing Family Spirituality: The Launch of the Radically Inclusive Parenting Project

The project is a response to a glaring need: the creation of spiritual spaces and resources that truly reflect the diversity of modern families, particularly those from LGBTQIA and BIPOC communities.

Addressing a Critical Gap

The inception of the Radically Inclusive Parenting Project was catalyzed by a stark realization during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As Nereyda, co-founder of Spirited Renewal, sought spiritual support while navigating the challenges of isolation, the lack of inclusive resources became evident. Traditional spiritual materials often overlooked the rich experiences of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC families, failing to offer guidance on nurturing a home environment grounded in radical love and inclusivity and highlighting the need for a new approach.

The Radically Inclusive Parenting Project's offerings are twofold:

1) to provide support spaces for reflection and deep listening among parents and caregivers
2) to develop resources (i.e. curriculum, books, certificate programs) to guide them in leading spiritual practices at home.

In designing these offerings, Nereyda and the Radically Inclusive Parenting Project is laying the groundwork for a future where every child grows up embraced by the love and acceptance they deserve.

The Journey to Impact (2024-2026)

Looking ahead to the project's three-year timeline, our goals are ambitious, yet grounded.

Success is envisioned as connecting at least 100 families to the project's support spaces and social media platforms, as well as achieving a milestone of 1,000 newsletter subscribers.

Additionally, the project seeks to enroll 30 leaders in a pioneering certificate program in 2025. These leaders will further the project's mission by initiating parenting projects in their local communities.

The Radically Inclusive Parenting Project is more than an initiative—it’s a movement towards building communities where every family feels seen, loved, and empowered. By prioritizing the stories and wisdom of those often marginalized, the project acts as a catalyst for broader cultural and structural change.

As this project unfolds, it promises to be a beacon of hope and transformation for families striving to instill values of inclusivity and compassion in their children.
